Therapeutic Riding:
LAHA
is a therapeutic horseback riding program in
Tennessee where
minds are healed through the intervention of equine companions. This
course has been developed over 12 years and has been used as part of the
healing for over 1000 emotionally disturbed children.
Children
suffering from any of the following problems have shown progress after
completing the therapeutic riding:

Reactive Attachment Disorder
LAHA
also puts on annual camps for families with children suffering
from Reactive Attachment disorder. LAHA has been host to
families from all over the United States. LAHA is dedicated to
the healing of children who have suffered abuse and neglect in
their earlier lives, as well as those that were unable to form
an appropriate attachment to their primary caregivers during the
first critical years. Most of the children we serve through the
camp have been adopted and many are from foster care. The
horses will aide us in the bonding of these children with their
families. Our camp is called
“Camp for Broken Hearts.”
