About Me - PDF Resume I began working with designing websites in late 1999. I created a couple personal websites that I kept updated on a daily basis, and managed my first website for a small independent wrestling association that I was involved with. I self taught myself html as I progressed throughout my hobby. In 2002 I decided to make web design an actual income and created Southern Starr Web Design. My first client was The Woodbury Flea Market in Woodbury, TN. This client turned into a very lucrative client as they opened The Moonlite Drive-In and I have been their webmaster from opening day. I have since gone full time with what was once a hobby and I am now managing over 40 different websites on a monthly basis.
In early 2009 Southern Starr Web Design became Southern Starr Promotions, and moved into print promotions. Our first product was our full color business cards. As a print broker entering into a massively competitive industry I found that I needed to offer a product that would bring customers in the door, and help establish my brand name. As of 2011 Southern Starr Promotions has become the local success of Woodbury, Tennesse, but we have not stopped there as we have been contacted by clients from Detroit, Michigan and down to the Louisiana Bayou.
Southern Starr Promotions is always looking to the future of the industry, as well as, new products to help their clients promote their business. We have since moved into offering our services to the social networking arena and have begun managing pages for 20 clients, and incorporating our graphical knowledge and skills in promoting our clients business even further.
EDUCATION:
My education has included but not limited to classes from the International Webmasters Association, an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from IADT and continued further education from NAPP and other training sources. I am committed to learning all there is to know about design, marketing and other areas of interest.
